Many years ago, during the heyday of the graphic arts, there was true devotion to quality and innovation. The sector possessed in-depth technical expertise and knew how to nurture relationships. There was self-esteem and a desire for excellence.
All of this is now under threat, although these lines are not a lament or the result of nostalgia. They are a vindication of the finest graphic arts traditions. Confirmation of the strategic value of the client–designer–printer bond. And a reflection of the pride that we printers past, present and future feel for their trade.
